The 2025 season will start on Wednesday, 7 May at the bowling green located to the rear of the Bengeo Club on Bengeo Street, Hertford.  We are a very friendly group and new members are most welcome. Most meetings consist of scratch games for about 90 minutes with sides drawn at random on the day. The Bengeo Club is well equipped but has no changing facilities so please come dressed to play changing into your playing shoes at the club.

Bowls is a gentle game but to play it you need to be able to stand for fairly lengthy periods and walk and bend easily. If you think you might need some special assistance then please contact the group organiser as some adaptations may be possible.

If you have never played before, bowls are available to borrow and coaching can be given by a qualified coach who is available most weeks.  We just ask that you change into trainers or similar at the club to prevent damage to the green.

Please arrive at 13.45 for a prompt start at 14.00.  The fee is £5.00 per session with a fee waiver for those who are also members of the Bengeo Club’s Bowls Section. Some parking is usually available on site and the H5 and H6 buses pass the door.
