This group is organised on an 'Open to All' basis and the talks invite speakers specialised in various topics of interest to a Sci Tech audience, which only requires a passing interest in Sci Tech matters and we shall be running them throughout the year except for two visits, one in April 2025 and the other in August. The  talks are pitched at a general interest level and an in-depth knowledge of science or technology is NOT necessary. Our regular venue is the Sele Hall and, after the talk, there is a question and answer session and light refreshments will be provided. There will be a small entrance charge to cover our expenses, currently £2, which can be paid by card using our card reader.

Members are encouraged to suggest possible topics for future talks or places to visit. Further details and the programme can be found in the monthly CONTACT magazine. We now have an informal membership list, established during the pandemic so we could keep in touch, which is held by our Secretary Mo Askew, who will add further names to the circulation list as requested. All will receive the SciTech newsletter updates.
