We discuss in an unstructured and light hearted way anything that appears in the news, but also whatever takes the members' fancy. We are a group of men and women who meet in each other's houses, should space be available, Due to space limitations, the group has to be restricted to a maximum of twelve and currently we have a vacancy. At each session, each member is asked to suggest a topic for discussion and then the group leader chooses a suitable order for discussion of the individual items. Members usually, but not necessarily, give a brief introduction to their topic and, as nobody knows before the meeting what topics are going to be suggested, this helps to ensure an extremely wide, fresh and varied selection of subjects. Members are not required in any way to do any extensive research beforehand of their topic and indeed, if they so wish, individual members need not suggest a topic. The group works in a very light-hearted and friendly manner and frequently there are humorous or interesting digressions from the topic in question.
